Community guidelines
Goltrik is about fooling people fairly: a good trick fools you with the hands, not with a trick on the game. These are the rules. They are short so you can actually read them.
There is very little to break here. You cannot send messages, write a bio or upload a picture, and tricks are made only from the game's own moves. Most of these rules are about playing fair and about your handle, the one thing you type.
The nine rules
Each rule matches one of the reasons you can pick when you report something.
1. Play fair
Find the marble by watching the hands. No bots, scripts, modified apps or reading the answer from anywhere else. No extra accounts to boost your rating, and no teaming up to move the ladder or the Daily Five board. If a trick's reveal does not match what the hands did, that is a bug: report it as "Unfair or broken".
2. Be yourself
Do not pretend to be another player, a real person, a celebrity, or Goltrik and its team. Names like "Goltrik", "admin" or "moderator" are reserved.
3. Pick a decent name
Your handle is seen by strangers of every age, from 13 up. No swearing, slurs, sexual words, insults, threats, or someone else's real name. No phone numbers, addresses, emails, links or social media handles, yours or anyone's. Some words are refused automatically; the rest is up to you.
4. Nothing sexual
No sexual names and no sexual content of any kind.
5. No hate
Do not attack people for who they are: their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or anything like it.
6. No bullying or harassment
Do not use names, tricks or reports to hurt, scare or target someone. Do not follow someone around the game after they have blocked you. Reporting someone you know did nothing wrong is harassment too.
7. No spam
No junk, no advertising, and no publishing the same trick over and over to flood the game.
8. Nothing illegal
Nothing that breaks the law, and nothing that promotes violence, terrorism or the exploitation of children. We remove illegal content and, where someone's life or safety may be at risk, we tell the police.
9. Use common sense
If something makes Goltrik worse for other people in a way these rules do not name, it can still break them. If we act on it, we explain exactly why.
If you see something
- Report it. After a trick, tap More on the result sheet, then Report this trick, and pick the closest reason. There is no text box: the reasons are the whole form. The person you report is never told who reported them, and you will not be served that trick again.
- Block them. After a trick, tap More, then Block this hider. You stop seeing their tricks and they stop seeing yours. Your blocked list is in You, then Settings, then Blocked.
- Something illegal, or not in the app? Write to [CONTACT EMAIL].
What happens next
A person looks at every report. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove a trick, rename a handle, warn, mute, take an account out of ranked play, suspend it for a while, or ban it. Machines help us spot unusual play, but a person always decides.
When we act on your trick or account, the app tells you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to [CONTACT EMAIL] within 6 months and someone takes a second look. The terms explain this in full.
Notes for the reviewer (removed before publication)
- The nine rules mirror the nine report reasons the backend enforces, in order of the app's list:
cheating,impersonation,offensive_handle,sexual,hate,harassment,spam,illegal,other(reports.reasoncheck insupabase/migrations/20261009120000_v2_guests_daily_safety.sql;report_content(p_kind, p_ref, p_reason)in20261017110000_the_safety_follow_ups.sql). The user-facing titles ("Unfair or broken", "Offensive name", "Pretends to be someone" …) are the app's (apps/play/src/strings.tssafety.reasons). - Reserved names ("goltrik", "admin", "moderator" and others) and blocked words:
reserved_handles, same migration; the list is deliberately not readable by clients (ADR 011). - "No messages, no bios, no pictures; tricks only from the game's moves": ADR 011 (the handle is the only free text), ADR 010 and ADR 013 (a trick is a move list from the registered deck, rendered by the server).
- "You will not be served that trick again" and "the person reported is not told":
apps/play/src/strings.tssafety.reportedBody. - Block is symmetric and enforced in every serving path:
is_blocked_between,block_user(20261017110000_the_safety_follow_ups.sql). - DSA Art. 14(3): if the service is mainly used by minors, terms must be understandable to them. This page is written for a 13-year-old reader; please check the tone holds after legal edits.
- Rule 6's "reporting someone you know did nothing wrong is harassment": is a sanction for abusive reporting (DSA Art. 23 is not mandatory for micro enterprises) something the operator wants to commit to?
